“ Is this Sydney’s hidden gem? Caught in a rainy day in Sydney with limited option, the pictures or museums, we happened to stumble into this restaurant… and my God, what a find! The view over the rain-soaked wharf was absolutely stunning, made even better by the smooth jazz playing in the background. The Irish manager was an absolute delight, warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. She even recommended a beautiful whisky for us to enjoy. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and genuinely happy to be there. We didn’t dine this time, but we’ll definitely be back. A truly special spot that made a rainy day memorable. ”
“ Entrees and small dishes were OK. Not amazing... just OK. The chicken with almonds was unbelievable..... such a wonderful dish. Desserts were excellent. Staff were friendly funny and informative ”
“ My partner and I enjoyed the Archibald tasting menu. Menu attached, the stand outs were the scallops with Brioche breadcrumb and the lamb, both were well cooked and packed with flavour. We had a great window seats overlooking Woolloomooloo Fingers wharf on what was mostly a sunny winters day The staff were friendly and efficient, we'll look forward to coming back ”
“ Ate here on Saturday for lunch. Had a booking for 1230pm however arrived 15 minutes early and we got seated straight away which was nice. We ordered chips, scallops, zucchini flowers, crab sliders, calamari and Basque cheesecake. The food was priced and tasted very nice. The big let down was the timing of the food being served and the sitting was way too long. The chips were served last which is odd as you would think that they would be served 1st or 2nd at least? People who arrived and ordered after us got their food before us. The scallops and the chips were my favourite though. The chips had friend garlic and chilli through out. The scallop was cooked to perfection. My wifes favourite was the crab sliders however I thought it needed a tad more seasoning. The zucchini flowers weren't served with ricotta and you had to pay extra which I thought it being served with it would be a given? The Basque was great and each component contributed to this nice dessert. Over all I would recommend dinning here as the staff were friendly, the atmosphere was on point and the views were nice. Perhaps we had an off sitting and I am will to try it again. ”
“ Divine set menu post Archibald viewing. The flavours, the presentations and the serving sizes are superb. The hostess and staff were attentive and friendly, with special thanks to Chloe who looked after us with knowledge and warmth. A must try when in Sydney. ”
“ Really excellent service and food. Walked in for a Sunday lunch for 5 people and they were able to seat us. The servers were all very friendly and the food was really above expectations. Some of the best food we’ve had in Sydney. The mortadella and cavatelli were stand outs ”
“ It has become a ritual to dine at Crafted by Matt Moran every year before checking out the Archibald exhibition for a wonderful lunch. I love how the both the food and cocktail menu changes seasonally with such inspiring dishes and drinks. The view is lovely and we’re always seated at a great table. See you next year! ”
“ Enjoying art is even better with a light lunch and a gin and tonic, and Crafted by Matt Moran delivers on both fronts. Perched inside the gallery with stunning views over Sydney, this charming eatery is the perfect spot to recharge after soaking in the exhibits. Sure, you’re just strolling through the gallery, but the mental workout of taking in all that creativity can work up an appetite. The menu keeps things simple yet delightful—think jamón with stone fruit, so good you might forget to take a photo (I certainly did). Great art deserves great food, and here, they complement each other beautifully. ”
